Summer, Summer, Where have you gone!?

Aunt Meredith babysat while mom and dad had a night out! We had soo much fun playing, reading, eating dinner, and wearing a 4th of July headband!

Rex and Doris ready to go to the Last Rodeo.
Justin really had more fun than he was expecting...obviously still not a fan of smiling in pictures.
It's been a busy month for the Davis family! Since we are moving to Grand Island, we've been out 4 times to look for a house. Well, we found a house, made an offer, it was accepted, had an inspection, and are now waiting to hear back from the seller again. Keep those prayers coming because it's a great house and we would love, love to own it!
We had the chance to go to the Brooks & Dunn concert last Sunday. It was a blast! We had great seats at the end of an aisle and in view of the stage. I brushed up on their songs before we went and could sing along with a few of them. We had an awesome time and were glad to spend time with Rex and Doris!
I finished my second to last class at UNO today and ooohh does it feel good. I can't wait for May 2011. I know it will be here soon enough and I'll be longing for the summer days of graduate school. But I'm looking forward to working, loving what I do, and having a paycheck. I'll keep saying my prayers that all goes well throughout the next 9 months.

Summer's flyin' by!

First patio garden - not too shabby!

Pretty hard to kill these annuals but maybe I inherited my Grandpa's green thumb!

Can't wait to make some salsa!!

Upgrade! YES!

Going out to celebrate the big ONE YEAR :)

We have had a busy summer so far but I still can't believe it's July! I've been busy with class starting this past week, celebrating birthdays and the 4th of July, looking for houses, trying to sort out lenders, and setting up my hospital and school practicum for the coming year. We visited some friends in Norfolk and their adorable baby, Avery. We had so much fun fishing, swimming, watching fireworks, and just relaxing! Thanks Joe and Crystal! We have a tubing trip coming up and Isabella's first birthday in August. I can't wait to find a house and figure everything out. I've come to the realization that everything is in God's hands and it will work out how it's supposed to. This little fact has taken a lot of stress off my shoulders. All I have to do is remind myself that it's his plan and I will know what to do when it happens. Feel so much better knowing that! We finally purchased a new couch, loveseat, and chair to replace our old set that had seen better days. It's so comfortable!! We are looking forward to the rest of the summer and getting situated in Grand Island. Wish us luck and say some prayers that we find a house!

One Year Anniversary

Married June 13, 2009!

Doris ran the Lincoln Half this year and did great!

Finishing strong!

It's already here! We celebrated last night by going out to eat at Spaghetti Works and viewing the Bodies Exhibit. On our way home we stopped by a summer block party to see some friends. We were not so impressed by the exhibit because it cost $20 per ticket ($18 with a student ID - UNO ID came in handy). It took me back to my neurophysiology course I took last fall which was pretty cool. I remembered a lot more than I thought! It's supposed to take viewers 2 hours to get through and we were out in 1 hour. We read as much as we wanted and were done.

Today is our actual anniversary and we're celebrating with laundry, cleaning, and the Back to the Future movie marathon! We're pretty exciting people...we did get each other Droid phones on Friday. It's pretty addicting to have the Internet, applications, camera, video camera, phone, etc. but we are just now getting the hang of them! It is definitely a learning curve.

Welcome!

Our Goddaughter, Emersen Abigail.
Need for speed!

Thanks Libby for the pictures! LOVE THIS ONE!!
Welcome Oakley Marie!

Say what?! Am I cute or what?!

Isabella swining in the park - stole these from Amelis ;-)

I have refreshed our page and started anew. Another attempt at updating you all to our daily life and happenings. We've been married for a year this coming Sunday. It's been quite the year...lots of wonderful adjustments to living together. We wouldn't have it any other way. I really like coming home to Justin and I am sure the feeling is mutual. We're looking forward to the future and whatever it holds for us!

Recently, my grandpa passed away succumbing to Alzheimer's Disease. I am so grateful to have had him in my life and will cherish every memory of him for the rest of my days. It's times like this that remind me how much I love and adore my family. I can't imagine life without any of them.

We were lucky enough to visit the Todd family in Lincoln last weekend. Oakley is precious and growing! Emersen, our goddaughter, is a beautiful exuberant little lady! Love the time we got to spend with them.

Isabella, our niece, is crawling, popping some teeth out, and all smiles. She's the center of attention and fills my bucket with grins and giggles. I heard her laugh today as Ryan spun her around and it was hilarious. She's almost ONE!! Love every moment with her!
